Bees and Wax
The Tubac Center of the Arts presents Bees and Wax, an exhibition of art featuring the subject of bees and/or using beeswax in the work (as with encaustic, for example) Artists are urged to enter work which is innovative in concept and approach, whether representational or abstract. Work must have been completed within the last 36 months. All work must be the original creation of the artist. Any media is eligible.

All artwork must arrive ready to hang. If framed, work must be suitably matted, (white, black or neutral colors preferred), simply framed and firmly wired. No saw tooth hangers. TCA reserves the right to disqualify any selected entry upon arrival that does not meet the above requirements or is deemed unsuitable for display.
Artists agree to release the use of images of accepted works to TCA only as a permanent record of the exhibition and only for promotional use related to the exhibition and the art center.
Accepted artists will be invited to submit a high-resolution file of their exhibit image for consideration for use in print promotions including the exhibit postcard. Once accepted, you may email a jpeg file that is at least 300 dpi to Exhibitions@TubacArts.org. Please include your last name and first initial along with the title in the name of the file. for example SmithJ_PaintingTitle.jpg
Giclee reproductions printed on canvas are not permitted. Entry must be original, entirely the work of the artist, executed within the last 36 months, and cannot have been previously shown at TCA.
No art may be removed from the exhibit prior to the close of the exhibition on Sunday, October 21, 2018, including sold art.
All work must be for sale. TCA will retain a 40% commission. Price work accordingly.
Artists are responsible for shipping to and from TCA. Unsold work will be shipped back to the artist after close of the exhibition. Artists must provide a barcoded preprinted PREPAID shipping label for the return of their artwork. Please no styrofoam peanut

The Member discount code is Bee30 which is entered at checkout. You must be a current member to use the discount code. Any submissions by nonmembers taking the member discount will be disqualified from the jurying process without refund. Members receive discounts on fees to all exhibitions as well as discounts in our gift shop and to special events. First-time users must register before they can login. After registering, you need to upload an image of your work to the My Portfolio section. Images must be sized correctly. Please see the Media Prep instructions on the CaFE™ website. After uploading images, click on APPLY TO CALLS and select the appropriate call. Please copy and paste from word documents when submitting your statement or bio/resume or you may upload your bio/resume. Checkout is the last step for ready to submit entries. Enter payment details and discount code if you are a member to finalize.
Payments are made at the end of the CaFE™ entry process either via credit card online or a check mailed to the art center.
Jurying will be done on the basis of digital images in a jpg format only. Up to four works may be entered for consideration.
