The Emmanuel Art Gallery is hosting a call for Entries for Made In Colorado, an exhibition of artists living or working in Colorado. This exhibition will celebrate Colorado's best contemporary art.  Artists from around the State of Colorado are invited to submit their work for consideration. Select artists will be considered for studio visits by the jurors.

Cameron Keith Gainer (b. Colorado) is a publisher, director of a project space, and a visual artist. His non-profit publication The Third Rail is devoted to modern and contemporary art, politics, philosophy, and culture. His project space co. (company) features multidisciplinary exhibitions and artist books. Gainer works in a diverse range of media, with solo exhibitions at Weinstein Gallery in Minneapolis, the Fabric Workshop and Museum in Philadelphia, and the Museum of Contemporary Art at USF, Florida. Group exhibitions include Koenig and Clinton Gallery, New York; David B. Smith Gallery, Denver; Minneapolis Institute of Art and Walker Art Center, Minneapolis; and McClain Gallery, Houston. He is the recipient of a Smithsonian Artist Research Fellowship, Pollock-Krasner grant, James L. McKnight Visual Arts Fellowship, and Jerome Foundation support for research.

Olga Viso is an internationally renowned curator and museum director, and has been recognized by artnet as one of the most powerful women in art. She is the former director of the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis and the Smithsonian Institutionʼs Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, DC, and was curator at the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach and the High Museum of Art in Atlanta. She has served on the board of directors of the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts and the Association of Art Museum Directors.

Gainer and Viso are married and this will be their first co-juried exhibition.

The exhibition is sponsored by CU Denver's Emmanuel Art Gallery and supported by 808 Projects. Works selected for the exhibition will be shown at either the Emmanuel Art Gallery or 808 Projects. Located on the campus of the University of Colorado Denver, the Emmanuel is housed in Denverʼs oldest standing religious structure and the first building on Coloradoʼs Landmark Preservation Commission. The gallery is dedicated to showing important contemporary art from Colorado and around the world. 808 Projects is located in Denver's Santa Fe arts district on Santa Fe Drive and is an artist-run project space. For questions contact emmanuelgallery@ucdenver.edu

Up to three artworks in any media may be submitted by each artist. Please include images, video, or sound, and a cv. For each work please include title, media, date, dimensions, and any special instructions.  Submission to this juried exhibition is free of cost. Some A/V equipment such as monitors and projectors may be available. Artists may need to help install artwork if there are advanced technical or complex installation requirements.
