PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
MOA (Museum of Outdoor Arts) is offering up to 10 emerging artists / filmakers / animators a $250 honorarium to be part of our new mobile, pop-up theatre (title TBD) that will tour to a variety of arts and cultural events in Colorado in 2018 and possibly nation wide in 2019+. The museum is seeking short animations and films (5 min or less) to create a unique visitor experience. Films/animations will be on a rotation basis to keep programming fresh.

The primary location it will be showcased at is Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre in Greenwood Village, CO, which hosts major concerts throughout the summer months. Over 250,000 patrons visit the venue each concert season. MOA owns Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre and has many art installations throughout the property. This installation will enchance the visitor experience, as well as afford MOA the opportunity to tour the installation to other exciting sites.

The Museum commissioned Yetiweurks, a local art, engineering and fabrication studio, to build this unique, pop-up, art experience. The principal artists of Yetiweurks are Nick Geurts and Ryan Elmendorf who have created public art works as well as many major installations for a variety of festivals and events, including Burning Man. More information about Yetiweurks can be found at http://engineeringforart.com.

ABOUT MOA:
Founded in 1981, the Museum of Outdoor Arts (MOA) is a forerunner in the placement of site-specific sculpture in Colorado. MOA specializes in creating environments that promote a range of sculpture, as well as performance art.  Our art collection is located within various public locations throughout the Denver metro area.  From commercial office parks to botanic gardens, city parks and traditional sculpture gardens; art is placed to interpret space as “a museum without walls.”  Employing a combination of art, architecture, and landscape, MOA is best known for integrating these disciplines in order to create exemplary environments.  Foremost, the Museum of Outdoor Arts believes in ‘making art a part of everyday life’ by integrating the arts into public spaces accessible by all.
