Denver Arts & Venues (A&V) established the policies for the Urban Arts Fund (UAF) in 2007 and the first mural projects were implemented in 2009. The UAF awards funds in amounts ranging from $1,000 - $8,000 through a competitive process.
Eligibility: Any artist or team of artists demonstrating the ability to execute a successful mural project regardless of race, color, creed, gender, gender variance, national origin, age, religion, marital status, political opinion or affiliation, or mental or physical disability. We encourage emerging artists to apply.

Please read carefully. Incomplete applications will not be accepted
Private vs. Public Space
Projects on private property will require permission from the property owner. Projects in public space (City property) will require support from the City Council representative as well as approval from the appropriate City agency. All projects are selected by the UAF Steering Committee.
Cherry Creek Trail
Murals along the Cherry Creek bicycle and pedestrian trail (CCT) began in 2014 near Confluence Park adding vibrancy to oft-vandalized areas. Local artists as well as international artists will be considered for a potential of 1-3 projects in 2017. The CCT is public (City) property and approved projects will have additional requirements including, but not limited to, a community engagement component.
