Any artist currently living within a 150-mile radius of the Toledo Museum of Art is eligible for inclusion in the Toledo Area Artists Exhibition.
Artists are invited to submit a digital portfolio; artworks submitted must be made in the last seven years and must faithfully correspond to the images provided. Submitted digital images will be retained by the Museum.
What’s new this year?
A portfolio of up to 10 images (inclusive of detail shots, installation views, video clips, etc.) should be submitted. Please consider this portfolio a way of introducing your body of work to the curator. You will also be asked to submit a CV and an artist statement.
This year the TAA exhibition will be juried in two stages. First, a group of artists will be selected from all entries for inclusion in the exhibition. The jurors for this stage will be Halona Norton-Westbrook, TMA Mellon Fellow, and Amy Gilman, Associate Director. Artists will be chosen based on their entire portfolio submitted. Decisions about which works will be included in the show will be finalized by Dr. Norton-Westbrook in the months between artist selection and exhibition installation. Second, once the show is installed, the Museum will invite a guest juror of renown to jury prizes for the exhibition. Awards received are as follows:

First Place - $2,500
Second Place - $1,500
Third Place - $1,000
