ABOUT THE FORT COLLINS LINCOLN CENTER
The Lincoln Center is a City-owned cultural facility with two art galleries, two theatres, and a conference center. The Lincoln Center Visual Arts Program promotes and nourishes the creation and appreciation of the visual arts. Diverse exhibitions, programs and projects engage and inspire our community through the world of art and ideas. The Center presents 8-12 rotating exhibitions each year in our newly renovated self-contained art gallery of 1,450 s.f., and a smaller gallery in the main lobby suitable for two-dimensional work only, with 46 linear feet.
The Lincoln Center seeks visually compelling exhibitions that provide a unique and robust visual arts experience for the Colorado community. Artists and curators are encouraged to submit proposals and portfolios for consideration of solo and group exhibitions in our art galleries. Lincoln Center staff may elect to combine multiple artists for small group exhibitions, and will determine the exhibition space for the applicant.
Artists seeking to exhibit in the larger self-contained gallery should be prepared to present engaging, educational programs such as a lecture or gallery talk, school program, demonstration or other special presentation that relates to, augments and/or interprets the exhibition. To support this endeavor, the Lincoln Center will offer the selected artist(s) an honorarium to help offset exhibition expenses such as shipping, installation and travel. The honorarium amount is to be determined by the Lincoln Center staff.

Residents of the Fort Collins, Colorado, Growth Management Area may apply using a discount coupon. The coupon code is available on the application questions.
With a rolling deadline applicants may submit at any time, except for certain dates when the call is closed for judging and site maintenance.
What to expect after you apply:
You will notice your status will change to "roster". The roster status allows us to access your information, but also allows you to make changes to your application and apply to other calls. When your application is in the "received" status it does not permit either function. Please note that the status of your application may frequently change. The website requires us to change your status when we want to review submissions. Your change in status does not indicate any permanent changes in our database. All artists are part of the database unless we directly communicate to you otherwise.
Our team meets quarterly to review artist’s submissions. If we are interested in presenting your work in our galleries, or have any questions on your application, we will contact you directly.
Please follow the guidelines listed below to be considered for exhibition at Lincoln Center in 2015 and 2016. In addition to consideration for the general exhibitions calendar, artists may also apply to specific calls-for-entry listed occasionally on the opportunities page of our website: http://www.fcgov.com/lctix/galleries-opp.php.
1. The application requires a short letter of intent (1000 words or less) describing your goals for the exhibition, a description of a supporting educational presentation, your artist statement and resume or CV.
2. 6-8 image files (including up to 3 video files, if appropriate) of current work proposed for exhibition, formatted to Café guidelines. Please only include work completed since 2012. Jurors will also refer to additional images and information on the artist's website.
3. Installation and site-specific proposals must include sketches (in PDF or JPG files) showing how the installation will appear in Lincoln Center Art Gallery.
4. Resumé or CV should include your website address, exhibition history, lecture or gallery program experience, awards, exhibition and program reviews, 5 pages or less, including reviews. Please attach in word or PDF formats.
