All Washington state artists are invited to submit work; prizes will be awarded for winners in several categories as listed below. As an artist, Seniuk creates works that combine photography, text and sculptural elements. Among the places he has been exhibited are the National Gallery of American Art (Washington, D.C.), the Seattle Art Museum, the Yale University Museum, the Princeton University Art Museum, and the International Center for Photography (New York City). He received fellowships from National Endowment for the Arts and Artist Trust, and was awarded the Logan Prize for Critical Writing in Photography. He served as a juror for the state arts commissions of Washington, Idaho & Nevada and for various arts Foundations. He taught at Cornish College and the University of Washington. Jake earned his B.A. in Fine Arts from Harvard University and his MFA in Photography from the University of Washington. Entries must be original, entirely the work of the entrant and executed within the last three years (since 1/1/07) and without the supervision of an instructor. Copies or works based on copyrighted paintings or photographs are not eligible. No video, film, or performance works are eligible. PREFERRED ENTRY METHOD: online through the CaFÉ system. ENTRY FEE: $35; LIMIT 3 ART WORKS MAIL-IN METHOD: Those not wishing to use the CaFÉ system may enter by mail using instructions found at www.collectivevisions.com. CONDITIONS A maximum of THREE entries per artist is permitted. Two views of each work are allowed (second views and detail shots must be clearly labeled as view #2). Two-dimensional work may not exceed 8 feet in its longest dimension nor weigh more than 75 lbs. Three-dimensional work must fit within a 4 x 4 x 8 foot space and weigh less than 400 lbs. All two-dimensional works on paper must be under glass or Plexiglas. Shipped work must use Plexiglas. All work must be ready for presentation with the appropriate framing, hanging wires and the like. Artists may not substitute another work for an accepted work, alter a work or the sales price, nor withdraw a work after it has been accepted. The Collective Visions Gallery reserves the right to refuse any entry which does not match the images submitted or meet the criteria enumerated here. The Gallery reserves the right to refuse work that is not appropriate for the space. ACCEPTED WORKS Works can be hand delivered or shipped. Instructions will be mailed in the notification e-mail letter. The artist entrant will be responsible for all shipping charges both directions. Every precaution will be taken to handle artwork and slides with the utmost care. However, neither Collective Visions Gallery nor the co-sponsors of the exhibition will be responsible for damage or loss from any cause. NOTIFICATION Notification of accepted or non accepted work will be via email. Artists will receive one e-mail notice for every image submitted including 2nd views. SALES All work must be for sale. The Collective Visions Gallery will retain a 33% commission on all sales. PHOTOGRAPHY The Collective Visions Gallery reserves the right to photograph entries for purposes of publicity, documentation, education and promotion. LIABILITY Art works will be insured for liability while at the Collective Visions Gallery. However, the construction and design of the work must not present a hazard to the public or gallery staff. The Gallery is located in the heart of downtown Bremerton. Gallery programs include feature, solo, and two person exhibits by member artists, ongoing display of works by all the member artists, workshops, lectures and art forums, exhibitions by guest artists, a gallery concert series, and an annual juried exhibit.
